Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-09-07
MailMan is a place where people write reviews of people they actually know. By creating an account or using MailMan you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
MailMan is operated by João Vítor Rodrigues Silva (“we”, “us”). Questions: mailman.contato@gmail.com.
1. Who can use MailMan
You must be at least 18 years old. By using MailMan you confirm that you are.
One person, one account. Creating extra accounts — including with different email addresses — to get around limits, moderation, or blocks is not allowed.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself.
2. What you post
You keep ownership of what you write, rate, and upload. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce, and distribute it while it is on MailMan, for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backup copies and any retention the law requires.
Every review must be your own first-hand experience of the person, written in good faith and honestly. Don't post things you know to be false.
Don't post: harassment or bullying; threats; hate speech; content that identifies where someone lives, their documents, medical or financial details, or other private information; sexual content about identifiable people; or content about someone you have no real connection to.
Only upload photos you have the right to share, and where the people shown would reasonably expect them to appear here. The person being reviewed approves photos before they show publicly.
You are responsible for what you post. If a third party brings a claim against us because of something you posted, you agree to hold us harmless to the extent the law allows, including reasonable costs and legal fees.
We can remove content or limit an account at any time if we believe these Terms are broken or someone is being harmed.
3. Reviews about you
When someone reviews you, the review is held for 24 hours. In that window you can approve it, or decline it with a reason. If you do nothing, it publishes automatically.
A published review is the reviewer's opinion, not ours. We don't verify reviews, we don't endorse them, and we act as an internet application provider hosting third-party content under Brazil's Marco Civil da Internet (Law 12.965/2014).
If a published review about you breaks these Terms — it's false, it exposes private information, it's harassment — report it from the review itself, or email mailman.contato@gmail.com identifying the review and the reason. We review removal requests within 7 business days and remove content that clearly breaks the rules, as well as complying with valid court orders.
You can hide your whole profile and every review of you at any time from Settings (“Deactivate account”), or delete your account and its data entirely (“Delete account”).
4. Things you may not do
Don't use bots, scrapers, or automated scripts against MailMan, and don't collect other members' information in bulk.
Don't try to break, overload, or probe the security of the service.
Don't impersonate anyone, and don't create profiles for real people who aren't you.
Don't use MailMan for advertising, spam, or anything illegal.
5. Moderation and ending your access
We may warn, suspend, or permanently remove an account that breaks these Terms or puts other people at risk, with or without notice depending on the severity.
You can stop using MailMan whenever you want and delete your account from Settings.
6. No warranty; limits on liability
MailMan is provided “as is”. We don't promise it will always be available, accurate, or error-free.
Reviews are written by members. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for content posted by members or for how you use information you find here.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid MailMan in the 12 months before the claim (today the service is free).
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we make a significant change we'll take reasonable steps to let members know. Continuing to use MailMan after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Disputes go to the courts of the user's domicile where consumer law requires, otherwise to the courts with jurisdiction over the operator.
