About MailMan
MailMan is a home for the reviews people usually only say out loud — what you actually think of the people you know, and what they think of you.
The idea is simple: everyone already has an opinion about everyone. MailMan gives that an honest shape — with consent, and with a name attached.
It's basically the Black Mirror episode “Nosedive” — except you opt in, you approve every review of you before it publishes, and nothing hangs a score on you behind your back.
How it works
You make a profile. People who know you write a review — a rating, a write-up, photos you approve. Every review of you waits 24 hours for your decision: approve it, or decline it with a reason.
Over time your Portrait builds itself from what people actually say, grouped by how they know you.
What we hold to
- You opt in. No one is reviewed without a profile.
- You have the last word. Nothing about you goes public without your OK.
- No anonymity. Every review carries a name.
- Only people who know you. Reviews are first-hand, not strangers rating strangers.
What MailMan is not
- Not anonymous gossip.
- Not stranger-to-stranger star ratings.
- Not a background-check service — it is not a hiring or screening tool.
Who makes it
MailMan is an independent project, built by one person, in beta. It still has rough edges — which is exactly why your feedback matters.
